Lust Have It June 2012

Image
Finally my Lust have it pack arrived today in the mail. The box was very plain and light and got delivered straight into my lettebox.  1+2. Lon Vitalite 24K Active Gold face mask and eye mask. RRP $59 and $45 for the pack of 5. This mask sounds very luxurious. It supposed to promote micro-circulation, repair sun damage etc. etc. you get the picture :) I just need a "me" day when I can indulge in manicures and pedicures and masks for my hair, face, eyes and body.  3. Batiste Dry Shampoo. Very cute and handy but it was done before many many times. I don't consider it as "luxury" sample as you can pick up FS for under $10.  4. Bloom Glitter Eye Liner - RRP $14.95 IMO the only full sized product in this box. It is very cute but quite impractical, I can see myself reaching for it once in a blue moon.  5. Roberto Cavalli EDP Very very heavy scent, even for winter. It is not that bad but unfortunately it gives me headache.  6. Marc Jacobs Lola EDP

L'Oreal L'Or Electric nail polishes - 807 Majestic Green & 811 Magic Croisette

Image
As promised in earlier post I would like to present you two nail polishes from L'Or Electric Collection that I've purchased recently.   without flash ... daylight... I paid around $7 for each nail polish. I've read somewhere that Target had L'Oreal on sale recently but I've missed out...oh well... Majestic Green was the first colour that I've noticed. I haven't quite seen a nail polish like this one before so I had to have it! It is a gorgeous shade of metallic yellow-green that will surely stand out. Magic Croisette looks like another shimmery teal on L'Oreal web site however it is a bit different in reality. I would describe it as deep teal with green micro-glitter. It is quite different from a lot of other shimmery teal nail polishes as micro-glitter doesn't dominate the colour, it is very subtle and just gives it an extra dimension. without flash ... with flash... and finally on my nails...sorry for imperfect application

L'Oreal L'Or Electric Collection (Cannes 2012)

Image
I was in Target couple of days ago and L'Oreal promotional stand with this picture caught my eye L'Or Electric is a Limited Edition Cannes 2012 collection. It features very bright, duo chrome, neon and eye catching colours. I love this collection because it is so different! It had four lipsticks   406 - Neonic Orange As seen on Claudia! It is the brightest orange lipstick I have ever seen. When I swatched it on my hand  it looked like I've applied a highlighter on it. When layered it looks stunning.  402 - Electric Fucshia Gorgeous deep bright pink with blue shimmer.  407 - Metallic Coral I haven't seen a shade like this before. It is a very bright red coral duochrome. 408 - L'Or Electric Last but not least is this beautiful cool shade. At first I didn't think much of it but when I swatched it on my hand it looked beautiful - sheer golden shimmer in cool lilac/taupe base.   It also had three Infallible eye shadows   37

Project 10 Pan...part 2

You can view part one here . 6. Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara My overall impression - very standard mascara, comes with very average brush. Overall not bad but not outstanding either. It was somewhat dry and wasn't as black as I like my mascaras to be. It run out pretty quickly too. On my lashes it looked OK and lasted all day. I can't complain because it was a freebie from a magazine. Would I buy it again? - No, there are better mascaras in the similar price range out there. 7. St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser My overall impression - lower end face cleanser that supposed to control breakouts as it contains 2% Salicylic Acid. It had very soapy scent and feel to it. It wasn't great at removing make-up and I wouldn't use it on eyes anyway. I had to use it after make-up remover. Clinique Anti-Blemish line works better for me. Would I buy it again? - No, I didn't enjoy using it and other products work better for me. 8. The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Ge

OPI Number One Nemesis vs Chanel Graphite

Image
Chanel nail polishes been hit and miss for me. However I fell in love with Graphite straight away. I love how it looks against my skintone, how well it applies and gorgeous multidimensional shimmer. So when OPI released something similar I couldn't wait to try it. I've alternated Chanel and OPI (2 coats). When my nail polish was wet the colour was almost identical. However when it dried I've noticed that Chanel Graphite tends to catch light more. The glitter particles also appear to be larger so it sparkles more. Chanel is also tends to be more opaque. OPI Number one nemesis is still a good dupe, however it is not as multidimensional as Chanel. You can see larger glitter particles in bottle too. So overall Chanel wins. However if you don't want to pay more than $20 for a nail polish or can't find Graphite go for OPI Number One Nemesis. The difference is so subtle that no one will be able to tell whether you are wearing Chanel or OPI :) Both nail p

Project 10 Pan...part 1

Image
I've been trying to resist purchasing new make-up and skincare products very very hard. I think I've been doing quite well considering how bad I use to be. I find that Project 10 Pan really helps. So recently I've used up 10 items without buying any more. I'll start with 5... 1. Softlips Vanilla Lip Balm. My overall impression - very nice lightly scented lip balm with SPF 20. Comes in very handy small tube. Perfect for summer as it doesn't feel heavy or sticky on your lips. Would I buy it again? - Yes, I like this product. It works for me! 2. L'Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner , 75 ml each. My overall impression - I got these cute small bottles as a part of gift pack. I normally buy salon-brand hair products but decided to give these a go. I was very surprised. My hair was very soft, shiny and manageable after them. They are definitely better than some "professional" hair products. I enjoyed the scent too - very &qu
