My recent purchases - DFO

Image
I haven't been to DFO for quite sometime. I've de-cluttered my shoe and clothes collection recently so I needed few replacements. 1. NINE WEST.. picked up these blue jelly thongs for $27.50 to replace... my orange ones from last year.  I loved my bee thongs but they deteriorated quickly. One of the stones fell out and they discoloured. So in the bin they went during de-clutter. I only had one other pair of things/sandals from Witchery so I needed another one badly for the beach and rainy weather. 2. COUNTRY ROAD I occasionally  find very good clothes at Country Road Outlet for the fraction of the original price (which I refuse to pay). On this shopping trip I found three items I fell in love with a) White Shift Dress...RRP $199.95, paid $34.50 (faulty - had make-up on it...but a good soak in Napisan should fix it) This dress looks better on me that it does on this picture. I imagine it being worn with turquoise necklace or nude woven

My recent purchases - Shopbop

Shopbop is quickly becoming my favorite online store. I find that quality is much much better than ASOS and I love trying new designers. Plus I got few high-end designer items for the fraction of the price I would pay here (even on sale). I'ce placed an order last Monday and my items arrived on Thursday. So here is what I got : 1. Missoni scarf.  I wanted something from Missoni for a while but could't afford or justify it. Ozsale occasionally has Missoni on sale but I just don't trust them since some girls had issues with authenticity. So when I saw this beautiful scarf on sale for under $58 I had to have it! They also had it in blue and red/purple/khaki. It is still available if you want one ;)   2. Pencey Standard Moto Jacket/vest  I wanted something not too casual nor too dressy so this jacket is exactly what I wanted. It is perfect for travelling as it feel as comfortable as hoodie yet it looks more presentable. I usually wear size 10

Project 10 Pan (Sept ' Dec '12)...part 2

Sorry it took so long to post 2nd part of my Project 10 Pan...My wedding is only 3 months away and I've been spending most of my time on it. 5. Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser (Full Size) My overall impression - I love this cleanser. I blogged about it before. I've been using it on/off for over 10 years and haven't found anything better. It dissolves make-up well, doesn't sting my eyes and foams really well. Would I buy it again - Yes, definitely. It is a HG product for me! 6. Christian Dior Diorskin Forever Foundation (full size) My overall impression - Good foundation, however I found something better! I thought it was the best because it felt light and lasted well (however it would start disappearing towards the end of the day). Now I'm using Guerlain Parure Extreme and think it is better because it lasts longer while still being very light. Would I buy it again - maybe, if I can't get Guerlain. 7. 1 Skin Solution Lip Balm (fu

I can't believe it is 2013 already! 2012 wasn't an easy year but I've learned a lot from it Here is a short recap of highlights - We got engaged after nearly 5 years together - Went to Sydney for 3 nights and had very good time (it was my fiancé's first trip to Sydney)  - My other half finished his PHD and got a relevant job (after 9 months of searching). Very happy and proud of him! - We went to Tasmania - I started Michelle Bridges 12 week challenge I made few resolutions at the beginning of 2012 and nailed most of them! I feel very good about it :) - I definitely drink more water and it became my primary drink of choice (I barely ever touch Diet Coke, Juice or Energy Drinks) - I became fitter and stronger! I usually go to the gym 3 to 5 times per week - I eat out less and bring lunch with me more - I definitely spent less money on make-up and related products this year and managed to use up over 50 items In 2013 I want to accomplish th
